Bathroom Shelf with Hooks: A DIY Project to Update Your Bathroom

As I look back on my previous life, before working from home and spending most of my time indoors, I realize how neglected my bathroom used to be. But now that I spend more time at home, I want my bathroom to be an oasis. In this article, we'll show you how to create a beautiful bathroom shelf with hooks using reclaimed wood.

To start, we gathered the necessary materials: a side rail from an old water bed, some small boards for towel holders, and oil-rubbed bronze brackets. We also had some pre-stain and stain on hand, which made the project even more budget-friendly.

The first step was to cut the side rail into smaller pieces, which we then sanded down using our electric sander. This removed any rough edges or splinters, leaving us with smooth boards ready for staining.

We applied a metal primer to the brackets and then spray-painted them using this lovely oil-rubbed bronze color. This gave the shelf a beautiful, rustic look that matched perfectly with the rest of the bathroom decor.

Next, we attached the brackets to the shelf using pre-drilled holes and screws. We measured carefully to ensure that everything was level and secure.

To add some extra storage space, we cut small boards for towel holders by the shower and hand towels by the sink. These fit seamlessly into the design, providing ample space for towels and other bathroom essentials.

Finally, we sealed the wood with a moisture-resistant sealant to protect it from the humid environment of the bathroom. This will ensure that our beautiful shelf remains in great condition for years to come.
